About us

Science with a purpose.

We turn industrial waste into value — through smart design, circular thinking, and relentless curiosity.

Our Story.

How it all started.

BioScavenge was born at DTU Chemical Engineering in 2017 with one simple idea:
waste isn’t waste — it’s a resource waiting to be recovered.

What started as postdoctoral research has grown into a company designing and building modular recovery systems for some of the world’s most demanding industries.
In 2021, ECCO Investment joined as a strategic partner to help us scale from lab prototypes to global impact.

Our Mission.

To make circular production a reality.

We help companies recover clean water, critical metals, and valuable solvents — and reuse what would otherwise be lost.

It’s good science. It’s good business. And it’s good for the planet.

How we work.

We keep things simple:

  1. We analyze your waste stream.
Our lab identifies what can be recovered and how.

  2. We design and test the process.
Pilot-scale systems prove what works in the real world.

  3. We build and deliver.
Full-scale, modular systems ready for operation.

From lab bench to production floor.
We make science work at scale.

Our People.

We’re scientists, engineers, and problem solvers who believe sustainability is built on data and design, not slogans.
